Short Cut Keys for MS Excel

Use this Short Cut Keys for MS Excel operations. This short-cut will definitely save your valuable time during operation with Excel. I think you will also love this post name " Keyboard Shortcut for Windows "

Ctrl + A Select all contents of the worksheet.
Ctrl + B Bold highlighted selection.
Ctrl + I Italic highlighted selection.
Ctrl + K Insert link.
Ctrl + U Underline highlighted selection.
Ctrl + P Bring up the print dialog box to begin printing.
Ctrl + Z Undo last action.
F2 Edit the selected cell.
F5 Goto a specific cell. For example, C6. Shift + F5 Bring up search box.
F7 Spell check selected text and/or document.
F11 Create chart.
Shift + F3 Open the Excel formula window.
Ctrl + Shift + ; Enter the current time.
Ctrl + ; Enter the current date.
Alt + Shift + F1 Insert New Worksheet.
Ctrl + 5 Strikethrough highlighted selection.
Ctrl + F9 Minimize current window.
Ctrl + F10 Maximize currently selected window.
Ctrl + F6 Switch between open workbooks / windows.
Ctrl + Page up Move between Excel work sheets in the same Excel document.
Ctrl + Page down Move between Excel work sheets in the same Excel document.
Ctrl + Tab Move between Two or more open Excel files.
Alt + = Create a formula to sum all of the above cells
Ctrl + ' Insert the value of the above cell into cell currently selected.
Ctrl + Shift + ! Format number in comma format.
Ctrl + Shift + $ Format number in currency format.
Ctrl + Shift + # Format number in date format.
Ctrl + Shift + % Format number in percentage format.
Ctrl + Shift + ^ Format number in scientific format.
Ctrl + Shift + @ Format number in time format.
Ctrl + Arrow key Move to next section of text.
Ctrl + Space Select entire column.
Shift + Space Select entire row.

Keyboard Shortcut for Windows

Sometimes we need some shortcut in operating our PC. So, today i thought to publish such a list of important shortcut which will surely help us to use our computer more easily. •CTRL+C (Copy)
•CTRL+X (Cut)
•CTRL+V (Paste)
•CTRL+Z (Undo)
•DELETE (Delete)
•SHIFT+DELETE (Delete the selected item permanently without placing the item in the Recycle Bin)
•CTRL while dragging an item (Copy the selected item)
•CTRL+SHIFT while dragging an item (Create a shortcut to the selected item)
•F2 key (Rename the selected item)
•CTRL+RIGHT ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the next word)
•CTRL+LEFT ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the previous word)
•CTRL+DOWN ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the next paragraph)
•CTRL+UP ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the previous paragraph)
•CTRL+SHIFT with any of the arrow keys (Highlight a block of text)

Save your MS Word Document to pdf

Sometimes we see, the saved word document has changed its format when we open it in another computer and specially when it contains some pictures or graphs or table. This situation is embarrassing sometimes. We all know that pdf is better in this situations. we can save word files in pdf format easily. all we need is software. I use Cute pdf Writer for this purpose. Firstly you have to download and install a pdf writer. You can get it clicking here.
After restarting open a word document and select print option and select printer Cute pdf Writer and check the box all pages and click print. A box will come select the place where you want to save it and click OK. that's all your pdf file is ready. Check the pdf file, i think all the pages have been successfully saved.

Protect your Office document with Password

Locked

You can protect your document by applying password so that unauthorized person can not display as well as modify your document. You can apply two types of passwords:

Password to open the document: 

Password to modify the document: 

Follow these steps.....

  1. Open any Office Documents
  2. Click File and Select Save As
  3. Now click Tools in that dialouge box
  4. select General Option...
  5. Now give the password i. Password to open and ii.Password to modify and click OK.
  6. You will be asked to "Confirm Password", again enter those password you have entered earlier (The maximum length of password is 15 characters.)
  7. Click "Save" button of Save As dialog box

It is now ready.....

Remember password is case sensitive Don' t forget them....
