Block any website without any softwares

If you want to block any website without any softwares, this tricks will be great for you.


Follow the Simple Steps.

• Open My Computer and paste this in the address bar or you may browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc , you will find the file named "HOSTS"
• Click it... Open it in notepad and go to the end of the page
• You will find "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.gmail.com below "127.0.0.1 localhost" , and save it (Next line) and that site will be blocked.

That's all...


NOTE : IF you want, not to block it... just deleted the line you wrote... eg: just delete "127.0.0.2 www.gmail.com" in this case

Oooohhh.... DO you want to BLOCK MORE THAN ONE SITES , here is the tricks

You have to just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip . and paste it below the first one you added.

ie:

127.0.0.2 www.gmail.com
127.0.0.3 www.rediffmail.com
127.0.0.4 www.mail.yahoo.com
127.0.0.5 www.mail.com

and so on..... (one by one)

And To remove them simple delete the lines and left the file as it was.

This also works with banner sites, just find the host name of the server with the banners and repeat the process.

THESE PLEASE DO... AT YOUR OWN RISK.. (Better to save a copy of the file before going)

Short cut for address bar applicable to all web browser

Friend i want to share one short cut for address bar (where we write www.coolcompu.blogspot.com or www.computertricks.co.cc).

What most people do..
Type www.coolcompu.blogspot.com in the address bar...

and what is the tricks...

Just type coolcompu.blogspot and Ctrl + Enter together it will automatically take www.coolcompu.blogspot.com

it will save your time typing www. and .com for each sites...

is not it helpful??

Fill up your forms in the web automatically

This feature enables you to fill out web forms with one click or a keyboard shortcut.

There is no problem weather you use Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Generally we need to fill up our form in the web manually, for various reasons, such as opening an email account. Different signing up form has some common question such as name, address, user name, password, phone number etc. and every time when we fill up forms we have to write these every time. But this post is going to tell how you can do easily, rather than writing individually. Its very simple, follows the steps…

• Download the exact add-ons, for Firefox CLICK HERE and for Internet Explorer CLICK HERE and install it.
• Click the wrench icon on the right side of your Toolbar. Alternatively, click the down arrow next to the AutoFill button and select Add/Edit Profiles….
• In the 'Toolbar Options' window, click the AutoFill tab….
• Select the checkbox next to AutoFill if it isn't checked already….
• To create a new profile, click the Add new profile link. Or click the Edit link next to the profile you'd like to edit….
• Edit your information as necessary….
• Click the Save button.
• Now you check it by signing up anywhere…you will see some boxes will be colored.
• Now press the auto fill up icon in the window. You will see the boxes (which was colored is now filled up)

I think you love this one... So, you don’t need to waste time by filling up forms…

Speed up your firefox

Firefox speed Up

1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll
down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time.
When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really
speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This
means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0".
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

If you're using a brodband connection you'll load pages 2-3 times faster now.
